Boxing Day

After a slow start to the morning, we sent a note to the property management regarding a broken toilet handle, and question regarding the golf cart rental - thinking it was tomorrow that it was coming - instead, it was today!

Anyway, it meant that the golf cart arrived just before noon - after a quick check out of the process (locking it up as there is a universal ignition key), we decided to head to the downtown core.

After a trip around the core to see what was open, because there were quite a few places celebrating Boxing Day, we started close to one end of the street, but unlike last time when we walked the street, this time we wandered up the beach.

After a while, it was time for a break, and we decided to get some food - Mom's papaya smoothie was refreshing, and the fish and chips and nachos were both fresh and well prepared. We sat and people watched for quite a while, then headed back to the street.

While Harley walked back to get the golf cart, Mom took the opportunity to look at a stall selling woven goods - after a bit of a haggling, and walking away, Mom got her price and has a new runner for the dining room table. We then took the drive back down to the condo, where because of the late lunch we ended up not having dinner and hit the sack.
